Vaccinations

A vaccination plan ensures your canine companion remains protected against dangerous diseases.

There are three core vaccines that are essential for dogs and puppies to have. The first of these is what is often referred to as the “distemper combination.” This combination vaccinates against distemper virus, adenovirus and parainfluenza virus. Then there is the Parvovirus vaccine and lastly, the rabies vaccine. It is important to vaccinate and keep vaccines up to date to initiate and maintain immunity, throughout their lifetime.

What types of vaccinations do you offer for adult dogs?

There are a series of vaccines that we recommend, dependent on your dog and your lifestyle. Please give us a call and we would be more than happy to discuss this further.

Is there a schedule for how often to vaccinate a dog?

At our clinic, we vaccinate annually, rotating between DAP, parvovirus, and rabies. If needed, bordetella (also known as kennel cough) is done in addition to the core vaccine each year.

Why is it important to vaccinate your dog?

Vaccinating your dog helps to keep them living a long and healthy life. It also helps prevent the spread of diseases to other susceptible puppies/dogs.

How much do dog vaccinations cost?

The cost of vaccinating depends on your lifestyle and your dog. Please give us a call and we will discuss this further.
